Manchester United went into the international break with injuries threatening to mount up. Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw and Diogo Dalot had all missed the club’s 1-1 draw with Southampton. And the sight of Paul Pogba limping out of St Mary’s was also a worry, with the France international missing the his country’s matches with Albania and Andorra. Manchester United have also been without Tim Fosu-Mensah since the season started, while Jesse Lingard and Aaron Wan-Bissaka were forced to withdraw from England duty. Yet United could be set for some big boosts for when the international break comes to an end.
